Agentic Call Automation

An AI call automation project exploring how conversational agents can participate in business workflows.

01

From a conversation to a workflow

Business calls often involve repeated questions, collecting information, and deciding what should happen next. This project explores agentic call automation: applying an AI agent to a calling workflow rather than treating conversation as an isolated response.

The key idea is to connect a conversation with a defined business task. Which calls are suitable, what information may be collected, and which actions are allowed must be specified for each workflow.

02

Engineering a voice agent

A voice AI workflow typically involves speech recognition, conversational reasoning, and speech output. An agent may also need tools or business-system integrations to act on a request. These describe the engineering context of agentic calls; a specific telephony provider, speech model, CRM, or language coverage is not claimed for this project.

Conversation design needs to account for interruptions, unclear speech, silence, and requests outside the agent’s scope. Tool actions should be constrained to what the business has explicitly authorized.

03

Reliability and human involvement

Useful validation includes conversation latency, correct information capture, successful completion of the intended task, and handling of failed integrations. A convincing demonstration should include difficult conversations, not only a scripted successful call.

For a commercial implementation, human handoff, consent and recording requirements, sensitive information handling, and escalation rules need to be agreed. These are deployment considerations, not assertions that the current project implements every safeguard or workflow.

04

What this project demonstrates

Agentic call automation connects Risenine’s AI automation work with conversational interfaces. It is relevant to businesses considering repeatable voice workflows that have clear boundaries and a practical path to human support.

Call volumes, conversion rates, supported integrations, and cost savings have not been provided for publication. We discuss the intended workflow and evidence needed before proposing a comparable system.
